In This Issue -
Hello friends!
It's that time again... back-to-school time! For many moms, you may recall, as I do, the Staple's commercial of the sad little children and the joyful dad buying back-to-school supplies to the tune of, "It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year." Though we all enjoy the opportunity to be carefree over summer while we spend special time with our children, there is no doubt that sending them back to school and conforming to a regular schedule does bring some well-deserved benefits to us.

I am hopeful that, like your children, you use the new fall schedule as an opportunity to set some new goals for your own life. Oftentimes, as mothers and caretakers we neglect creating goals to enhance our own lives. One thing I have learned, through many mistakes I will admit, is that you must hold your dreams and goals as sacred and as yours alone. Create goals that will enhance you as you grow as a woman and do not allow anyone's presence or absence in your life to alter the course you are on to reach your goals.

And, lastly, as natural givers that women often are, try to give of yourself with caution and only to those who understand value and appreciate the true gift you are to them.

Those are my thoughts and words of wisdom for the month. Wishing you all a great start to fall. I challenge you to put aside a little time to think about what goal you could set that you could work towards to enhance your life.

Are You Going For the Gold?
by Elizabeth Savino

For as long as I can remember, watching the Olympic Games has been a highlight for me. The excitement of watching these elite athletes compete with each other to see who could bring home the gold medal has always been a source of inspiration and motivation to me. Watching the strength and determination these athletes demonstrate as they use their minds to focus and their bodies to soar fuels me to want to do the same in my own life.

This year as I watched the Olympic athletes I began to wonder what road these individuals took to reach the privilege of representing their country as the best of the best. Surely the rested athletes in the peak of performance I was watching, dressed in their pristine uniforms, did not depict the road they traveled to reach a spot at the Olympic Games. I began to wonder what life was like for them as they traveled down their road to success and also what common characteristics these individuals possessed that helped them reach their goal to compete in the Olympics. I also began to ponder if I had those same traits and if I was using them to challenge myself to reach my own gold medal in my own life. Read full story here.

Beyond the Box
To help you explore the possibilities that may exist as you create your own future, try answering the following questions, encouraging you to think beyond the box.

  1. What do you do and how do you act when you are feeling passionately connected?

  2. What three things could you do right now that would bring more balance to your life?

  3. What change could you make today that, if done, would definitely contribute to your personal improvement immediately?

  4. Are you living a life of true integrity? Examine your life for a moment and see. If not, what courageous changes do you have to make right now to live consistently with integrity?

Today's Quote
"Know that to discover the possibilities that are available to you, you must absolutely move out of your comfort zone. Be prepared to suffer and sacrifice along the way, as raising the bar in any aspect of your life demands that you take on adversity in order to experience great expansion, joy and fulfillment."
